February/March Update

Hello everyone!  

Below is my February/March update about how work with Adventures in Missions is going, what Courtney and I have been doing, and more! Thanks for reading!

Courtney and I….  

-In our December update, I wrote “Courtney and I are in preliminary discussions to go back to the Dominican Republic, for a longer time period, and train underneath this missionary couple. We really love their ministry and the ways that God is using them, and we think it would be wise to learn from them about how to have a successful ministry and also have a great family life at the same time. So pray that God would open the doors that need to be opened to make that happen!” 

In our January update, I wrote “Courtney and I have always felt like God has brought us together to be missionaries and to raise a family overseas, so having a baby does not deter us one bit from partnering in His Kingdom work. I asked that you would pray for doors to be opened, and a door has definitely opened…”

So all of that to say… Courtney, baby, and I will be moving to the Dominican Republic in early 2023! We have the opportunity to work with the Adventures in Missions Dominican Base to share the Gospel with unreached communities in the mountains of the DR. Once there, we will be mentored by a missionary couple and learn how they created their ministry, how they raise their kids overseas, etc. This will be an internship/mentorship type of opportunity for Courtney and I, with the goal being that we take what we learn in the DR and use it to start our own ministry wherever God leads us.

-So with that big life change coming up, we are also preparing for our other little life change 🙂  Courtney and the baby have both been super healthy at all of the appointments so far, and everything is going great with the baby. I would just ask for prayers that the baby continues to grow and develop normally and healthily, and that God would prepare Courtney and I more and more every day to be the parents of this little blessing! 

Adventures in Missions

-For my job, I continue to support the 3 Gap Year squads, 5 World Race squads, and 3 Semesters squads. Many of the squads are finishing up from late April-June so just pray that they finish strong, don’t get weary, and fight to the end to see all that God has for them on the rest of their journey! 

-Adventures in Missions continues to send squads to Romania to assist with the Ukranian refugee crisis. For more on what Adventures in Missions is doing to assist Ukraine, you can read/give here…
